Jacob doesn't imagine many people will stumble across this blog, but he hopes that the one or two that do are a little like him. Not in the sense that they spend all their free time writing blogs they don’t tell anyone about. He means people who secretly struggle with the constant, all consuming urge to overeat, and who would do anything to be free of it, but feel trapped.
Jacob is not a dietician or an addiction specialist. He’s just a normal-ish sort of person that spent several decades binge eating then figured out a method to stop. As his life has so greatly improved, he thinks it might be nice to share his method with others.
This blog might not be the answer most compulsive overeaters are looking for—everybody is different and what works for one person won't necessarily work for everybody else—but he hopes that a couple of people come across it and get something out of it. A new perspective, a new strategy or just the simple recognition that they are not responsible for their urge to overeat. Nor are they alone.
If nothing else, he hopes it gives a few despondent binge eaters a bit of a laugh. They deserve it.

A note for readers
AI was not used by the blogger when creating this website, nor in the research or writing of any blog posts. He would rather see grammar and spelling mistakes made by humans than anything written by a machine and hopes any readers of this blog are in agreement. Jacob spends quite a lot of time looking up the spelling of words in his dictionary, so he hopes he got most things right, but he has likely made mistakes here and there. For that, he is truly sorry. On the plus side, reading the posts on this site will give people the pleasure of picking up typographical errors that the writer has missed, which means they should get some enjoyment out of it, even if they find the blogger’s non-AI writing style and opinions utterly unreadable.
